Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena is out!
Today Naka-joy had a stream for Day 1 of P4:U
but sadly very few players were in Naka-joy stream. The only characters I was able to see in action were
- Kuma (Teddie)
3 differnt game play of Chie Satonaka
- Yosuke Hanamura
- Yukiko Amagi
- Mitsuru Kirijo
- Kanji Tatsumi
I was actually waiting for other characters to be played instead of them. I was expecting someone to play Naoto Shirogane / Akihiko Sanada at least.
Before I felt that wasted 3 hours watching repeated matches of Kanji to the point I think I already memorize his BnB or Kuma's mix up.
It is also a pity that Naka-joy didn't even save it for archived in Ustream.

You can see Naoto playstyle is similar to Noel Vermillion (Blazblue). I do plan to use Naoto as She has been my favorite character in the Persona 4 series.
Hopefully tomorrow Day 2. We get to see other characters in action.
On the other hand, Street Fighter x Tekken Vita version will have 12 additional characters.

Anyways MrWizard mentioned that this game will be a controversy for this year EVO. Especially SFxTK added the Gem system. Keits commented that the game was good at first since he did tried it during the first game test release. But when they added the Gem system, the game slide down to players.

I was watching the podcast and await for each game that MrWizard will reveal.
It wasn't a surprise that Street Fighter and MVC3 will be in since it had the most cheers and roars from last year's EVO. I remember shouting in front of my monitor when Daigo dodge X-factor Phoenix on MVC3 and seeing Daigo losing to Poongko on Street Fighter.

So MrWizard announced EVO is adding Soul Calibur 5. Oh Snap! But I guess it was pretty ok to see some Soul Calibur action this year for EVO. Mortal Kombat 9 made it again. Last year it had pretty decent matches so I guess EVO decided to give it another chance.
When MrWizard said "Everyone would have played this once in their life-time", I knew what I was going expect! King Of Fighter 13 for EVO!!! Since KoF13 got back their justice from the embarrassing KOF12's downfall. Good to go back in old school Fighting games style. I will expect a influx of Mexicans going to EVO this year.
Lastly MrWizard announced that EVO will be adding Street Fighter xTekken, the chat in the podcast just spammed like mad with a lot of unhappy comments. Yes Majority were unhappy comments. I barely see anyone going "Yay! SFxTK!" or "FUUUUU YEEEAAAHH"

When MrWizard and Keits discussing about SFxTK, I can't help but notice they gave more negative comments to the game system. Pretty much funny to me why would you want to risk a space for a game that everyone is expecting it to Fail. But MrWizard said "The game isn't release, but we'll just give SFxTK a shot"
So they announced the lineup. They answered some question. Here are the good questions I remember was given to MrWizard to answer.
"Why Blazblue is not in for this year's EVO?"
MrWizard: Gauging from last year's EVO. The community is not as strong as we expected. There's fans but not alot of good supports.
Zenith (thoughts): I think there's more Asian players compare to States. So might be the result of it getting removed.
"Any chance if any game in the lineup get pulled out?"
MrWizard: We try to prevent that because it will take a lot of time and effort to return back refunds when they expected it in.
Zenith (thoughts): hahaha! Alot of people wants SFxTK get removed!

Well that's all I remember. So this year's EVO is going to be interesting! Controversy or not. I expect the same epic drive from all Players.

2011 is coming to an end!
Games are blowing up this week and it is now currently added in my list of games to get before 2012.
Here's are the games that were release this week and my little recommendation for your Christmas shopping ideas.

GameZone has finally arrive here in Philippines!
For those who don't know, GameZone is one of the arcades from Japan and Hong Kong.
As I heard this new arcade, I didn't hesitate to visit it.
Most of the games and arcade cabs are Japanese version. Time Crisis 4 has Japanese dub which is music to my ears. Staff are friendly when comes to asking them for technical check as I heard they are technically trained to fix any machine.
GameZone uses Tap card system.
You won't need to swap. You just need to put the card in card holder and wait for 5 secs.

Beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS
which made IIDX players here in Philippines cry with joy. As they get sick and tired with just playing Beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD which is about 6 years old already.
Pop'N Music 16 Party. One of the rare Music games here in Philippines.
Gamezone also brought in other games like DDR Solo 2000 and DrumMania&GuitarFreaks V7.
For the DrumMania V7, Habbles one of the top players of DM quoted
"GameZone's DrumMania is the BEST in Metro Manila"
and I couldn't agree more.
GameZone has reasonable game credit price.
The most expensive game is probably cost around 19peso and the cheapest 10peso.
it is reasonable price compare to other arcades in Manila.
As I talked with the manager about his possible plan of bringing other titles to GameZone,
"We will try out best to get the Latest titles. Just get your friends to come down to GameZone."
So for Bemani players out there. GameZone is a place you want to get your Music groove.
It is the ground that has Bemani games you want to try. So come down and get your friends to visit GameZone!

SM Megamall now has the machine transformed into V8. The possible machines that will also get this awesome change are...
Trinoma and Gateway.
Glorietta was known to be the only branch holding V8. Probably explains why the price decreased in Glorietta branch's V8 which I notice a couple of days ago.
But is this a possible sign of XG coming to Philippines?
